Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Bike...

Part of my photography assignment was to shoot a stop-action photograph. While everyone else was getting everyone else to run, jump, spin and do all manner of other crazy things, I wandered out to look for something just a bit different. While this image doesn't completely show it, several of those puddle rings still have the raindrops attached.

At first, my instructor wasn't going to accept this as a stop-action photo. "Where's the motion in a bike wheel?" he asked, rather disappointed with me, I think. I had to laugh at that one. "When was the last time you saw a raindrop stand still?"

He looked at me, blinked twice and marked me as "passed".

I like this photo because it brings back memories of wet days when I was a child. I could sit for hours and watch the rain fall. Can you hear the water dripping softly? Can you smell the dead worms? If you can't, let me know and I'll take another run at a photo like this.
