Father: Sithian of Gond

Religious leader at Sharidell.

Mother: Died in Surier's early youth.

No real mother figure.

Home: Temple of Gond at Sharidell, but spends most of time at Fisher Keep studying, than in the town of Sharidell. Old Fisher Keep was replaced 15 years by Keep Ukko (built with funds gained from a good year's gold) and was given by Duke Ukko to the Priests of Gond. It has been a school, foundry, and lookout post since then, but is still impressive.
Friends: Duthan Gureth Arikian - Mountain Dwarf Fighter/Cleric - Dumathoin and The TruthSeeker are cooperative gods and Arikian was one of the teachers at Fisher Keep.
Loviath - Human Ranger. The two were close friends when they studied together, but Loviath fled Kapevalla when Surier declared his love for her.
Tun Karien Sharidell - Human Bard: Son of the Mayor Terrell Sharidell. The two were students together, soon to become close friends and co-conspirators.
Lemmin Karnan Ukko - Human Cavalier, younger son of Duke Ukko. They were students together and Karnan is now the Duke's Captain of the Guard. Even though Lemmin replaced one of the original participants of "The Swordmeet", he remained behind to guard the Duke when the Chosen set off to find the Horn that would dispel the demons attacking Fisher Keep.
Adversaries: Kullervo Ukko - First born son of Duke Ukko, Kull is cruel and greedy. He has fought to have Old Fisher Keep removed from the Church and returned to a more military use. Surier believes Kapevalla will suffer when it becomes time for Kull to rule.
Comments and Observations:

Surier, at his best, is often unsure of himself and afraid of both succeeding and failing. Surier's father didn't seem to have time for Surier after the death of Sithian's wife. Her death cast a pall over the entire household, and, being only a child himself, Surier blamed himself for the changes he saw taking place.

Surier wants his father to be proud of him. At the same time, Surier's powers and strengths are so much greater than Sithian's and the young man hates the thought that, if he should succeed where Sithian did not, then Sithian would forever turn away from him. Surier is very much aware that his first duty is to the TruthSeeker, and to the vows that he took, which compels him to do the best he can at all times... It just conflicts with what he wants to show his father.

Another conflict in young Surier's life is his love for the ranger, Loviath. It took him several years to come to terms with it, eventually deciding that she deserved better than he, especially since it was his fault that Loviath felt compelled to flee Fisher Keep.

During his adventures, Surier was blessed by the TruthSeeker. The blessing manifested as a change in eye colour, from his original blue to bright amber. It's rather disconcerting, but Surier is getting used to it. He is now able to view auras without conscious effort. While he appreciates the new talent he has been given, it's rather uncomfortable for him to be mistaken for a God. He has no such aspirations.

The bane of Surier's existence is both small and very large, specifically the halfling, Chryst. Surier's preferred traveling garb is a kilt, rather than the traditional trousers of other clerics, but he's not sure that trading the kilt for trousers will help any. There is something unnerving about having a halfling watch as he walks by her and, even if she is silent, Surier knows that the comment "Nice buns, boyo" and her knowing smirk isn't too far away.
